Trust & respect
Listen to the community, understand context and respect boundaries.
Our story
We are filmmakers and storytellers working to make creative skills more accessible.

A few days can introduce someone to a camera. What happens next—the chance to practise, experiment, make mistakes and try again—is what turns curiosity into skill.
But a few days can only be a beginning. Without equipment, practice and guidance afterwards, new skills can be difficult to retain.
Khidki grew from the wish to build continuity: time to learn, room to practise and tools to keep creating.

Deeksha Foundation, Patna · workshop archiveA different way of seeing
A shift in perspective changes who gets to tell the story, what gets seen, and whose voice reaches the world.
Khidki’s aim is simple: give communities the tools to document their own experiences, instead of waiting for someone else to speak for them.
Our approach
Listen to the community, understand context and respect boundaries.
Make new skills practical, accessible and enjoyable.
People choose how their stories and identities are shared.
Build the possibility of continued practice and local leadership.
Our long-term ambition
We imagine community-based media-learning spaces across India, where access to equipment, knowledge and support can continue beyond a workshop.
The people behind Khidki
Khidki is being developed by filmmakers and creative professionals with experience in social causes and community workshops.
We bring a commitment to storytelling that values relationships, context and the people behind each image.
